Day Two Competition Update
It’s really official now!!! Year One EcoCAR 2 Final Competition is on a roll!! Presentations have started and the last 600 points that the team still has to earn is slowing starting to drop.

Today, there were two presentations for the Ohio State Team: Tradeshow and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL). The tradeshow was presented by Katherine Bovee, Travis Trippel, and Sarah Jadwin. The team had the chance to talk to the judges about the EcoCAR 2 competition, a little more about the OSU EcoCAR 2 team, as well as our vehicle architecture! Overall, the tradeshow display went very well!! The judges even congratulated us on having such a welcoming trade show display!! For those who helped design the trade show on the OSU EcoCAR team (who could not make it to LA)…thank you and congrats on doing such an awesome job!!
Shortly after the tradeshow presentation, the OSU team presented the final HIL presentation to over six judges. The presenters included Amanda Hyde and Matthew Yard. They did a fantastic job of explaining the fault diagnosis system on the vehicle and the different cases that have been tested so far during Year One. Even though there was no vehicle during Year One, it was amazing to see how much the team accomplished using dSPACE’s Hardware-in-the-Loop system and the MircoAutoBox.
Overall, Day two went very well!! But…we are off to do finalize and put those finishing touches on presentations for tomorrow’s practice sessions!
